Man Utd: 5 Once Promising Youngsters Who Faded Into Obscurity

4. Zoran Tosic

Very few remember Zoran Tosic when he arrived at Old Trafford from Serbian club Partizan Belgrade in 2009 and fewer still remember him now. The Serb was 22 when he joined United and was heralded as a winger capable of filling the boots of Ryan Giggs on the left - needless to say, that never happened. In fact, Tosic only lasted one season, and half of his time in Manchester was spent on loan after being farmed out to FC Köln in January 2010. When he reported back in the summer, it was decided his services were no longer required. Renowned as a free-kick specialist at the time, Tosic failed to bring this skill with him to Manchester and never scored a goal for United. Today he can be found plying his trade for CSKA Moscow.
