Man Utd News: David Moyes Slams Premier League Over Fixture Conspiracy

The Telegraph. The United boss has criticised the League after the Premier League champions were handed Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City to play in the Scot€™s first five games as new Red Devils manager. Moyes has said:

€œThe old manager told me those sort of things happened. I find it hard to believe that€™s the way the balls came out of the bag. I think it€™s the hardest start Manchester United have had for 20 years.€
Moyes has said that he was warned by his predecessor, Sir Alex Ferguson, that United would be handed an unfair hand when it came to fixtures, but Moyes hopes that the Premier League haven€™t actioned this just because United won the title so comfortably last season. A Premier League spokesman has said:
€œWe€™ve assured him the process is random and above board. He has accepted those assurances.€
David Moyes isn€™t the only Premier League manager to bash the board with Aston Villa boss, Paul Lambert also claiming that his club has been handed an unfair schedule. Lambert has expressed his anger over the changing of Villa€™s fixtures to accommodate Chelsea, who will play Bayern Munich pushing Villa v Chelsea to the Wednesday night. The decision to change this fixture means Lambert will lead his side to three away games against Arsenal, Chelsea and then Liverpool. Lambert said:
€œWe are talking here about big-club syndrome. When I complained I wasn€™t convinced by the answer I got from the Premier League. I€™d love to know if Villa have ever had a harder start than this. They are hard games against Arsenal and Liverpool but to put the Chelsea one in between was strange."
