Man Utd Transfer News: Anderson Interest From Fiorentina

Serie A side Fiorentina have expressed an interest in signing Manchester United midfielder Anderson, according to Sky Sports. The midfielder has been at Old Trafford for nearly seven years, since joining in July 2007. However, Anderson has started a mere two Premier League games this term, and has netted only nine times in over 170 appearances since joining from Portuguese side Porto. Anderson and Wilfried Zaha are rumoured to be top of Moyes' chopping board as the new manager attempts to make his mark on the historic club. The interest was confirmed by Fiorentina's sporting director Daniele Prada in an interview with Sky Sport Italia;
Anderson is a player who Fiorentina likes and is following, but this certainly applies to many other players. Fiorentina are looking a bit, but with very specific requirements. We do not buy just to buy, however, because there is positive feedback from what's on the pitch and the group is happy. If the right opportunity comes, we will seize the moment. But it is useless to talk about an individual name as we have many targets, and many of these have not come out.
The Serie A outfit have former United player Guiseppo Rossi in their ranks currently, and his injury in a 0-0 draw with Torino last week has the Italian giants firmly focused on finding cover in the attacking ranks, a fact Prade acknowledged.
It is evident we have been unlucky with Rossi's injury, as there aren't many great strikers on the market. Who is the perfect forward for our style of football? The one who guarantees goals. The ideas of €‹€‹the club on the market are very clear, we were unlucky with the attackers but we planned purchases in other roles. Anderson is a strong player but I don't know if he will come.
