Man Utd Transfer News: Cristiano Ronaldo "Wants To See Out Contract" At Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to see out his contract with Real Madrid.

BBC. The 28-year old's contract expires in 2015 and he has been linked with a move away from the Spanish Giants after admitting last September that he "was sad" with life in Madrid. Former club Manchester United have been linked as a possible destination should the striker leave, along with French outfit Paris Saint-Germain. But Ronaldo, who has scored 16 goals in 18 appearances in La Liga and 175 in 172 appearances for Madrid overall, is keen to stay - for now. He said:

"I want to see out my contract at Real Madrid - I'm very clear about that. "After that, well, I don't know what'll happen in the future."
The Portuguese left Manchester United in 2009 in a world record £80 million deal and will face his former club next month when the Last-16 of the Champions League gets underway. With Madrid trailing Barcelona by a seemingly insurmountable 18 points in La Liga, it would appear European glory is Real's best chance at silverware this season, and Ronaldo has his sights set on a record tenth European Cup.
"Every Madridista wants that 10th European Cup - we're more than aware of that. "It's not going to be easy and I reckon the odds are about 50-50, but I'm still very confident. "Manchester United have started the English championship race very well and are a long way ahead of the rest, but still, if we play the way we're capable of, we can beat them."
Manchester United will visit Real Madrid for the Last-16 of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday 13th February with the return leg at Old Trafford scheduled for Tuesday 5th March.
