Manchester United manager David Moyes has cast doubt on making any new signings this month, according to the BBC. United are currently languishing in seventh place in the Premier League and were eliminated from the FA Cup at the 3rd round stage by Swansea on Sunday. But Moyes has warned those who are hoping he may seek to improve the champion's ailing fortunes with new signings that the players he wants to bring in may not be available. The Scot said:
"We would like to bring people in but are those players available? "There is an urgency but there's no point in me hyping it up because the players we would like to bring in are probably not available in January."
Marouane Fellaini, who played under Moyes at former club Everton, was the only new arrival at Old Trafford during what was seen as an underwhelming transfer period for United last summer. Moyes was linked with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Thiago Alcantara, Ander Herrera and Leighton Baines last summer, but was repeatedly frustrated in his pursuits. And it appears as though Red Devils fans could be set for yet more disappointment in January if they were hoping for more activity from their side in the market. United have made their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign under Moyes and have lost four of their last six home games in all competitions. Their 2-1 defeat to Swansea on Sunday was only the second time they had fallen at the first hurdle of the FA Cup in three decades.
