Man Utd Transfer News: PSG Open Talks With Wayne Rooney

According to further, unnamed English sources, Rooney is "enormously interested" by PSG's approach, with the French champions having now apparently made the ex-Everton man their number one transfer target above Napoli's Edinson Cavani. Former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has already confirmed that the want-away star has asked for a move away from the club for a second time. The club's top goalscorer last season was left out of Ferguson's final two Premier League games, at home to Swansea and away to West Brom, through he did take part in the title celebrations in United's final home game before featuring in the open-top bus parade through Manchester the following Monday. Rooney handed in a transfer request in October 2010 before agreeing to sign a new and improved 5-year deal, which is now in its last two years.
