Man Utd Transfers: 10 Deals That Should Happen In January
5. Radamel Falcao OUT
Manchester United fans are yet to the see the free-scoring Radamel Falcao they thought signed on-loan from Monaco in September. To make matters worse, the club is splashing £280,000-per-week on a player who has found the net just once having spent most of his spell sidelined through injury. The Dutchman has said the 28-year-old is currently incapable of playing for more than 20 minutes in the intensity of the Premier League, forcing him to use the loanee from the bench more often than he would like. Although the Colombian is yet to complete a full 90 minutes for the Red Devils, word has it the club is prepared to offer him a permanent deal worth £52million. However, more recently, Louis van Gaal has dismissed the possibility of signing Falcao before he regains peak fitness and makes a more significant contribution to the club. Falcao can be one of the deadliest strikers on the planet on his day and with a more than half a season left to play before his loan expires, he still has plenty of time to prove his worth at Old Trafford. The former Atletico star hasn't played enough football to warrant signing a permanent contract this January, but long-term interest from big-spending rivals Manchester City and Chelsea could prompt United to tie him down as soon as possible. Probability: 4.5/10
