We're almost mid-way through the January transfer window and so far the 20 Premier League teams have had a quiet month. The faltering champions have had a dire season thus far under new manager David Moyes and, since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, have found themselves languishing mid-table. The cracks that started to appear during Ferguson's reign have now burst open and Moyes surely cannot afford a second transfer window of inactivity following last year's debacles.
