One transfer target almost constantly linked with Manchester United is Leighton Baines. And that is largely to do with United's problem at left-back at present, with this season tipped to be the ageing Patrice Evra's last at the club. The veteran Evra looks set to move back to his native France this summer to re-join Monaco and when you look at his understudies, you see the problem. Fabio and Alexander Büttner have done little to suggest they are capable of replacing the Frenchman long-term, hence the talk about a move for Baines.
