Man Utd Transfers: 10 Flops Who Must Follow David Moyes Out Of Old Trafford

9. Patrice Evra

Patrice Evra falls into the same category as fellow stalwarts Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic - a loyal servant and a once-great player, but now a shadow of his former self. Evra may well have gone last summer had United been successful in their pursuits of Leighton Baines of Everton and Real Madrid's Fabio Coentrao, but has instead muddled on this season. But his pace has gone and his positioning can at times be erratic, making him a liability at times. This campaign surely must be the last for the soon-to-be 33-year-old at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils openly pursuing Southampton sensation Luke Shaw. His capture would likely ring the death knell for Evra's time in Manchester, with former club Monaco being linked with the veteran left-back. A popular figure on the terraces, the Frenchman further endeared himself to supporters with a belter of a goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final second leg. And if, as expected, Patrice Evra does bow out this season, then what a way to go.
