Man Utd Transfers: 10 More Players Louis van Gaal MUST Sign Before Deadline Day
6. Sami Khedira
Manchester United need to sign Sami Khedira. That's the opinion of legend Paul Scholes at least who spent his entire career at Old Trafford and believes his former club need to be landing players of Khedira's ilk if they are to bounce back from their nightmare start to the Premier League having clocked up just one point from a possible six. And he isn't wrong. Khedira would be a marvellous signing for United. With Real Madrid adding to their already-bulging midfield options this summer after landing Khedira's Germany teammate Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez from Monaco, the 27-year-old could have to settle for substitute appearances at the Bernabeu this season and a switch to United may appeal. Predominantly a defensive midfielder who is said to possess "flawless aerial ability", Khedira would provide some much-needed experience to United's midfield having played at the highest levels of the game for club and country over the last 12 months; featuring for Real in the Champions League final back in May and playing five games of Germany's World Cup run before sitting out the final with injury. A big-name player for the big occasions, the Red's midfield would look a lot less brittle with Khedira in the ranks.
