I couldn't help but leave the best for last for United fans - even if his goal last night may have dented a few Red hearts. Having come to United as a raw talent, he was managed by Sir Alex into one of the greatest footballers of the modern era. His 42 goal season for United has been dwarfed by his exploits in Madrid, yet it seems the politics that dominate Spanish football doesn't agree with him. He feels unloved and unappreciated for just how much he brings to the team, which is in stark contrast to his time with Man Utd where the fans and players alike seemed to love him no matter what.
How likely is this transfer? 30% Let's face it, Real Madrid aren't stupid, and they are not going to let the world's best player, alongside Messi, go as there is no one in the world that can come any near the level, which he is currently at, unless of course they can execute a Figo-like move for Messi, which really would be thinking in the realms of impossibility. United fans will refuse to rule out the possibility completely, but a move for Cristiano is about as likely as finding a treasure chest in your back garden.
