Man Utd Transfers: 10 Players Jose Mourinho Should Sign This Summer

9. Kylian Mbappé

At only 18, Kylian Mbappe has already become the talk of Europe, with Manchester United in the hunt, alongside Real Madrid, and rivals Manchester City and Arsenal. AS Monaco look to be the real winners in the deal, with all four clubs reportedly tabling offers over £100million for the dynamite young goal threat.

Mbappe has been a revelation at Monaco, scoring 26 goals in 40 appearances for the first team and earning a spot as the second youngest French international ever, even drawing comparisons to Thierry Henry from Arsene Wenger and other respected footballing doyens.

A swoop now would smash the record fee paid for Paul Pogba in 2016, but may come with less of the expectant pressure placed upon his compatriot's shoulders upon his return to Old Trafford. As big a brand as he was a player, Pogba represented a new breed of on-the-pitch superstar, whereas Mbappe currently remains at least just a footballer.

Under Jose specifically, he could be protected from criticism and left alone to do the relatively simple job of scoring goals.
