Man Utd Transfers: 10 World Cup Stars To Target This Summer

1. Edinson Cavani

With Robin van Persie suffering an injury plagued campaign that saw him limited to just 21 Premier League appearances last season and Javier Hernandez tipped to leave, United need a new striker. And there are few better on the market today than Edinson Cavani, who looks set to leave current club Paris Saint-Germain after admitting he is unsettled at the French outfit. After netting 25 goals in all competitions last season, Cavani tops a number of club's summer wishlists, and is valued at an eye-watering £54 million - but he comes up with the goods, having scored 179 career goals despite being just 27. With RVP turning 31 this summer, Wayne Rooney also struggling for fitness and form and Danny Welbeck continuing to put in inconsistent performances, Cavani could be the player we need to kick-start our ascent back to the top of English football. And while he could soon be terrorising Premier League defences, England fans will be getting an eyeful of Cavani this summer - he is set to lead the line for our Group D rivals Uruguay. Which World Cup stars should Man Utd be targeting this summer? Let us know in the comment section, below.
