Man Utd Transfers: 10 World Cup Stars To Target This Summer

6. Adam Lallana

At a time when Manchester United's midfield lacks verve and creativity, one transfer target this summer simply must be Southampton's Adam Lallana. We have looked laboured and average in the middle of the park recently, unable to turn our possession into goals at times, leading to us being sucker punched at the other end of the pitch. Last season we lost games we shouldn't have simply because we couldn't unlock defences - which is where Lallana comes in. The 26-year-old, named in Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad, showed what he can do in a recent international friendly with Denmark, coming off the bench with the score locked at 0-0, before undoing a stubborn Danish back-line by assisting Daniel Sturridge 10 minutes from time. Unfortunately, Lallana is in demand, as is the case with many Saints players this summer. Liverpool have submitted a bid and it remains to be seen if the midfielder is prepared to forego Champions League football to join us.
