2. Yohan Cabaye
Manchester United have been linked with the Newcastle midfielder recently, with
Sky Sports reporting last month that the 27-year-old was "open" to a move to Old Trafford. Cabaye has consistently excelled at St James' Park in recent seasons and was once again one of Alan Pardew's better players in the last campaign, despite being limited by injury to just 26 Premier League appearances. The France international is another box-to-box midfielder United could go for this summer and like Fellaini has great ball control and technical ability. He still has three years left to run
on the contract he signed in 2011 but commented last month that he'd be interested in a move. When questioned by Canal+ in June about United's reported interest, he stated:
"Yes, of course. I've liked this club for a long time, I like what they do. "The boss has left but they have appointed a very good successor and he did some good things with Everton. "They are always well placed among the big clubs. Yes, for sure, it would be an interesting challenge."
Cabaye has played for France at every level, from U16 to the senior side, and has scored 11 goals in 73 appearances for Newcastle to date.
