PSV Eindhoven midfielder Kevin Strootman is another midfield transfer target for Manchester United this summer, but despite all the speculation linking him with Old Trafford, the 23-year-old admitted this week that he
has yet to receive an offer from the English champions. United have apparently stopped short of making a concrete bid for the Netherlands international, who is also wanted by Roma. Yet he'd be a fantastic addition at the Theatre of Dreams and could be the ideal replacement for Paul Scholes. He could even be a replacement for Roy Keane, in fact, with the former Utrecht man earning the nickname as
"the Dutch Roy Keane", thanks to his "uncompromising" style of play. Strootman is a physically strong, tactical, box-to-box midfielder, best deployed in a central role. He has made 187 appearances for PSV, scoring 27 times. The youngster has also been capped at international level 18 times by the Netherlands, scoring once.
