Robert Lewandowski only has 6 months remaining on his current deal with German Champions Borussia Dortmund and has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford. So much so, it has been reported that he is all set to sign a 5-year deal with the club and move to United for £18 million. He could even leave for nothing in the summer with no sign showing that he is set to sign an extension with the Bundesliga outfit, which has greatly advantaged Sir Alex Ferguson's bargaining position. The Polish international has been in fine form this season, scoring 15 goals in 25 appearances to help Dortmund qualify for the Last 16 of the Champions League by winning the "Group of Death". His two goals against Ajax confirmed his side finished ahead of Spanish Champions Real Madrid and at the expense of Premier League Champions Manchester City. His club are unlikely to be willing to let him go this month, however, as they need their prized asset during what is one of their most pivotal parts of their campaign, but they know they can lose him for nothing at all in 6 months so may yet bow under United's pressure.
