Man Utd Transfers: 5 January Replacements For Robin Van Persie

4. Michu

Michu was also a revelation as he made his Premier League debut for Swansea last season. The Spaniard joined the Welsh club for a meagre £2 million last summer from Rayo Vallecano, but his red hot form would go on to make him one of the bargain buys of the season. Michu scored 18 Premier League goals in his debut campaign as he helped fire Swansea to League Cup glory, and could be moving on to bigger and better things in the New Year. United sent scouts to watch Michu in action in May 2012 and could have snapped him up for £3 million, but missed out when he instead joined the Swans. Now, having seen him adapt quite comfortably to life in England, they could make a renewed attempt to land the 27-year-old, but should expect to pay way more than £3 million.
