3. Daley Blind
Nick Potts/EMPICS SportWith Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal set to take over at Manchester United next week following the end of the national team's World Cup commitments, the Dutchman may well bring one or two of his countrymen with him. United have been linked with several Holland stars over the past few months, one of which is Daley Blind. Blind has been a virtual ever-present during the Netherlands's run to the World Cup semi-finals, starting all six of his country's games so far. He has impressed in Brazil, too, showing his combative nature by winning 67% of his headed duels, according to
Squawka Stats, while he gets forward in a similar way Evra does, and has even provided three assists. Van Gaal is known to be a big fan of Blind, due to his ability to fit into his favoured 5-3-2/3-5-2 systems that rely on wing-backs, and United have been
tipped to make a bid this summer should they lose Evra. Blind has been at current club Ajax his entire career but, having spent the last six years at Amsterdam, may be looking for a fresh challenge next season.
