Man Utd Transfers: 5 More Marquee Signings David Moyes Could Make

3. Arturo Vidal

Manchester United have a stronger midfield now than they did at the start of the season now that they have landed Juan Mata, but there is still work to be done in their engine room. Mata will bring the creativity to the side as Paul Scholes once did but the Red Devils still don't have their Roy Keane, and have never really replaced the tenacious Irishman. United need a midfield anchorman who can grab the side by the scruff of the neck and haul them through the sort of difficult situations they are currently enduring, someone like Arturo Vidal. Vidal has been dubbed Il Guerriero ("The Warrior") by the press due to his combative, hard-tackling style of play and operates box-to-box, helping out in both defence and attack. With Michael Carrick out for a month and Marouane Fellaini struggling, Vidal would be a perfect signing - preferably this month, but most likely next summer. The Juventus man has been linked with a move to United recently, but with the Italians top of Serie A, may not want to leave until the end of the season.
