1. His Goal Scoring Tally
We've already touched on his goal-scoring tally and just how prodigious a striker he is, but this cannot be overstated. Lewandowski is one of the hottest forwards in Europe at this moment and has been in free-scoring form for the last two seasons. He scored 30 for Dortmund last term and has 35 for this campaign, suggesting he is only going to get better. He has also scored 10 goals in 11 Champions League appearances this season meaning he is now just two strikes behind Cristiano Ronaldo as the competition's highest goalscorer this term. Considering Dortmund are about to eliminate Real Madrid from the tournament, the smart money suggests he will win this year's Golden Shoe Award. Robin van Persie has 29 goals this season, while Wayne Rooney has managed 16. Add those two tallies together and put them alongside Lewandowski's goal haul and you have a striking trifecta that is capable of banging in 80 goals a season. And that's why United should sign Lewandowski.
