4. Michel Vorm
Swansea City's Michel Vorm was being lined up as a potential replacement for de Gea way back last January, but Ferguson decided to stick with the Spaniard then. That may not quite be the case this coming January however as Swansea have enjoyed a terrific first half to their season, and in spite of an injury limiting the Dutch shot-stopper to 11 Premier League starts this term, he has been one of their vital players since their promotion to the Premier League in 2011. So much so that he was linked not just with Man United but to Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham also. He signed for Swansea for a bargain £1million in the summer of 2011 from Utrecht but is valued somewhere near £6million now. Source(s):
