Man Utd Transfers: 5 Things Juan Mata Will Bring To Red Devils

5. Creativity

The woeful lack of creativity in Manchester United's midfield has been laid bare for all to see during a troublesome season for David Moyes this term. United's engine room looks tired, laboured and flat out of ideas and they're simply not giving the strikers in front of them good enough service. But Juan Mata could fix this problem, and the statistics back this up. This calendar year, Mata has created 30 chances for his teammates - that's the same total Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Shinji Kagawa, Darren Fletcher and Marouane Fellaini have between them. Another indictment for United's huffing and puffing midfield is that, in spite of making just 13 Premier League appearances this season, no Red Devil has created more assists this term than Mata's two. The Spain star will have a huge impact on the champion's creative input this season which is good news for the likes of Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez, and the Red's top four aspirations.
