Victor Valdes has won six La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys, six Spanish Supercups and the Champions League three times with Barcelona. To dismiss such an experienced and decorated replacement who is simply stagnating on the bench seems more than a little harsh. The Spaniard made his full debut this weekend after De Gea went off injured against Arsenal at Old Trafford and conceded a deflected cross from Theo Walcott. That said, it would be silly to rule out seeing Valdes as the number one at the club next season.
