Man Utd Transfers: Perisic Set For £50 Million Old Trafford Move?
Mourinho's spending spree continues.
Manchester United are close to sealing the transfer of Internazionale winger Ivan Perisic, in a deal that could be worth as much as £50m, according to The Independent.
Miguel Delaney, the publication's chief football writer, claims that the Croatian international has already agreed personal terms with United, and the move could be completed next week.
But Old Trafford chiefs will first need to meet the asking price of Inter, who are looking for upwards of £45m for a player whose services cost them just £15m two years ago.
Perisic was the club's stand-out performer last season, scoring 11 goals has his side finished a disappointing 7th place in Serie A.
And whilst the Italians are now beginning to show some ambition of their own in the transfer market, the player is said to be keen to link up with Jose Mourinho's United.
Earlier today, the Red Devils announced the £75m signing of Romelu Lukaku, who joined on a five-year-deal from Everton.
Their coach is also thought to be keen on bringing in a defensive midfielder, with Chelsea's Nemanja Matic and Tottenham utility man Eric Dier among those linked to Old Trafford.
