With Nani and Ashley Young still continuing to depress rather than impress the Old Trafford faithful, Lucas Moura of Paris Saint-Germain has been linked with a summer move. van Gaal might take one look at our current midfield and decide to wield the axe, and it would hardly come as a surprise to most of us should the aforementioned Nani and Young make tracks. We were linked with a move for Moura shortly before he joined PSG from Sao Paulo in 2013, but were effectively outbid by the mega-rich French outfit for the youngster's services. However, the Brazil international has struggled since then, making only 10 Ligue 1 appearances in 2012-13 and 26 last term. Lucas is not playing as much as we have hoped, that is true, admitted the player's agent Wagner Ribiero back in January.
But its not part of our plans to leave PSG now. He has had some chances in the team, and we will look at the situation again at the end of the season.
Since those comments the trail has gone a little cold, but like Muller, if Moura's camp drops any further hints that he is unhappy in the French capital, van Gaal may well be tempted to make a bid.
