This has been a mixed week for Manchester United manager David Moyes. A crushing 4-1 defeat away to rivals City last Sunday was followed up by a morale-boosting 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the League Cup, and he will be hoping the return to winning ways continues here. Defeat would leave United with their lowest points tally six games into a Premier League season since 1989-90 and well off the pace in the title race. A draw meanwhile would make this the Red Devil's poorest start to a season since 2002-03, when they claimed eight points from their first six games but still went on to win the Premier League title. As for West Brom, they're trying to put the brakes on a poor run of form themselves. Last week's win over Sunderland was only their first in nine attempts. But the Baggies could be on the receiving end of a backlash here following the hiding United sustained last Sunday.
