Man Utd: Worst Ever Premier League 11

Right-Midfield: Bebe

Bebe The only player on this list that is still under contract at the club, Bebe is one of the more expensive flops that Sir Alex brought to Manchester United. Seemingly desperate to secure the services of this player despite him having little experience or widespread reputation, they paid Vitória de Guimarães £7.4 million, after he had only signed for that club five weeks earlier. Ferguson seemingly had very little knowledge of the player, only having met him the day before he signed. But, chief executive David Gill firmly stated that Bebe would stay with the first-team squad rather than get experience on loan, and he was placed in the Champions League squad for 2010. He played for the club mostly in the cup competitions against lower-league opposition, and has so far in his United career played in two Premier League games. This has raised numerous questions from United fans, such as "Who is this guy?" and "If this guy can get in the first team, when is it my turn?". Nothing particularly distinctive or impressive has come from his handful of appearances for the club, and the only real mention of Bebe in England revolves around his inability to settle in the country due to lack of support, or his disbelief that he is not a permanent component of the match-day squad. Now on loan back in Portugal, he has since displayed an interest in making that transition permanent, which would certainly not upset any United fans in the slightest. A fair number probably don't even realise he still plays for them, or that he signed in the first place.
