Man Utd's 10 Most Hated Players

10. Gabriel Heinze

Matthew Ashton/EMPICS SportMatthew Ashton/EMPICS SportGabriel Heinze enjoyed a successful three-year stay at Manchester United, winning the Premier League title in 2007. The left-back was also well liked by supporters, and was named Manchester United fans' player of the season in 2005. However, his stay at the club ended in acrimony when he demanded he be sold to the Red Devil's fierce rivals, Liverpool. It was 2007 and Heinze had his heart set on a move to the Reds. United refused to do business with their Merseyside rivals, but Heinze dug his heels in and ended up having a very public spat with Sir Alex Ferguson. United fans too blasted the defender and labelled him 'Judas' for his perceived betrayal of the club. United fans could not understand why he would want to move to Liverpool and took it as a lack of respect. In the end, Heinze was sold to Real Madrid instead, but the damage to his relationship with United fans had already been done.
