3. David Moyes
It would seem that almost every summer David Moyes is linked away from Merseyside, and there is good reason. Moyes has been tipped by some to replace Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, but the younger Scot might not be able to wait much longer. Although a fan favorite and loyal manager, David Moyes has been drawing a lot of attention with the exceptional work he has been doing at Everton in recent years. Moyes has managed to turn Everton from a relegation battling side to a serious top four contender. All this has been done with a shoestring budget with many a savvy signing made along the way. Despite having earned no silverware for the blue side of Merseyside, he has managed to guide them to a Champions League spot and both an FA Cup final and semi-final. Known for bringing stability to a club, Moyes could be the target for a team looking to put a longterm replacement in. As of now Manchester United seem unlikely with Sir Alex staying around for a bit longer, but a team like Arsenal might seek his services. Arsène Wenger goes in and out of favor at Arsenal every other week, and is often accused of not spending enough. With that in mind, Moyes would be able to come in and add stability, but all importantly spend money wisely. No matter how much the Arsenal fans complain, they still spend considerably more than Everton do, so Moyes might be able to break Arsenal's barren trophy run with a little financial backing. Of course Moyes may decide to stay in Liverpool as he is assembling a very solid team, but it seems only a matter of time until he makes the jump up to an even bigger club. Source(s):
