Newcastle: 5 Reasons Alan Pardew Should Be Sacked After Humiliating Sunderland Defeat

4. Recent Slump In Form

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP1i9V8Pn54 Newcastle's recent form has not been good enough. They have lost five of their last ten games and have only had one win in 6 throughout all competitions. This poor run of form has coincided with a potentially lethal slide toward the relegation zone and is not too dissimilar to that awful month in January when they only picked up one win all month. Failure to jump over even the first hurdle of the FA Cup and elimination from the Europa League - as brave as their European cup run was - means there is nothing positive to talk about on Tyneside this season. That survival is the most fans can hope for this term really does put Newcastle's shortcomings into brutal clarity. Here is a club going backwards - their fifth placed finish last year led many to believe the club were at last on the up again, but Pardew has his hand clenched on reverse.
