Newcastle Loan Report: Adam Armstrong Fires Coventry To League One Summit

2. Shane Ferguson (Millwall)

Shane Ferguson was substituted in injury-time of Millwall's frustrating 3-2 home defeat to Barnsley - just moments before Lewin Nyatanga headed in a stoppage-time winner for the Tykes. Playing at left-back, Ferguson made a few nice runs forward and was solid enough defensively, although one of Barnsley's opening two goals did come from a cross from down his channel. Fred Onyedinma had put the home side ahead at The Den on 26 minutes, before Sam Winnall and Alfie Mawson turned the game on its head. Onyedinma netted his second to equalise in the 82nd minute, but Nyatanga broke the Lions' hearts late on. Ferguson will be grateful for the gametime, but the 24-year-old Northern Irish international will be hoping to improve on Millwall's 15th in League One in the weeks and months to come.
