Newcastle Midfielder In Talks To Leave Tyneside

Is Olivier Kemen Italy-bound?

Newcastle United midfielder Olivier Kemen has never made a first-team appearance for the club yet he could be on his way out of St James€™ Park this summer - with Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and now AC Milan fighting it out for his signature. The 18-year-old arrived on Tyneside from Metz two years ago and he has failed to break into the first-team picture to date, yet L€™Equipe claim that he is now in negotiations to move to Italian giants Milan. Interestingly, Liverpool have also been credited with a move for Newcastle€™s France international midfielder Moussa Sissoko in recent weeks, although those claims have been denied. Yet it is their reported interest in Kemen that is perhaps more interesting considering the youngster€™s lack of first-team football. In fact, Kemen asked John Carver for a loan move in January but was denied and is becoming frustrated with life on Tyneside. Kemen - who has performed well in 26 appearances for the Magpies€™ Under-21 side, scoring three times - also went to Greece to captain France in the UEFA Under-19 Championship, where he impressed. Juventus forward Kingsley Coman was also in the squad, as was Atletico Madrid€™s exciting youngster Lucas Hernandez. Spurs and Liverpool could well firm up their tentative interest in a player who has yet to experience first-team Premier League football - although Milan appear the current favourites for his signature.
