Newcastle Premier League Managers Ranked By Win Percentage
5. Kenny Dalglish - 38.46%
Newcastle United Manager: January 14th 1997-August 27th 1998 Games In Charge: 78 Won: 30 Drew: 26 Lost: 22 Win Percentage: 38.46% Reason For Leaving: Sacked Kenny Dalglish enjoyed a distinguished managerial career - except with Newcastle United. A Liverpool legend as a player, Dalglish returned to win the First Division title with the Reds and then claimed the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers. However, during his one-and-a-half years at St James' Park, Dalglish dismantled Kevin Keegan's "Entertainers" team and, despite reaching an FA Cup final, recorded just 30 victories from 78 matches in charge. His win ratio of 38.46% may place him fifth on the list of Newcastle managers - but compared to Keegan, Dalglish was a massive failure as Magpies boss.
