But following his high profile signing for Liverpool, the career and perception of big Andy has waned substantially - both nationally and on Tyneside. Some will say that the young no. 9 was an important part of the clubs rejuvenation, and whose transfer funded the building of the current team. Others will find humour in the £35million flops time spent at Liverpool and on the West Ham United treatment table.
