The future is by no means rosy for Newcastle, and any fan who thinks that the past month has fixed the rest of the year's errors is deluding themselves for the sake of false optimism. Yes, the ability to beat Spurs and Liverpool in the league is a good thing, but is Pardew's tactical model adaptable enough to beat teams like West Brom and QPR? The good work done in October and against Liverpool will count for absolutely nothing if the "lesser" games aren't won, and on previous form against the likes of Hull, Stoke and Villa, Newcastle are simply not able to break down teams that won't attack and over-load. But there are things to take into the next few months of the season, and if there is a plan B, then it could indeed be good times ahead. We just need the proof, starting with the West Brom game.
