Newcastle could make a bid for Wolves striker Benik Afobe, according to the Mirror. Wolves boss, Kenny Jackett has remained adamant that his star striker is going nowhere but Newcastle will test the manager's claim by showing interest in the player before the transfer window closes.The Mirror report that Steve McClaren is still on the look out for another striker and Afobe - who hit 32 goals for Wolves and MK Dons last season - could be a potential replacement for Papiss Cisse.
