Newcastle Transfer News: FOUR Big Signings Arriving On Tyneside

1. Yoan Gouffran

Yoan GouffranNationality: French Current Club: Bordeaux Position: Forward Fee: 1.5m (according to The Chronicle) Sky Sports News have reported this afternoon that the Magpies have agreed an undisclosed fee for Bordeaux's French forward Yoan Gouffran, who is expected on Tyneside for further negotiations and a medical on Wednesday. The deal will take the form of a four and a half year contract for the player, according to NUFC.com who cite French media sources, and a transfer fee in the region of £2.1m. This follows on from the news that Newcastle had a bid of around ‚750K rejected for the 26-year-old, whose current deal runs out at the end of the season - hence the low price for a player who has 12 goals so far this term. Gouffran has subsequently been left out of the Bordeaux squad to play Moulins in the French Cup tomorrow night. He moved to Bordeaux in 2008 for ‚6.5m, where he has scored 30 goals in just over 130 appearances, and was involved in the Europa League match between the two sides at St James Park, which Newcastle won 3-0. Gouffran is known for his pace, as well as his rather embarrassing allergy to grass, and best for Newcastle's attacking plans can play on the right-hand side of an attack as well as through the middle. http://youtu.be/oL9V4f6x8bw If all four deals come off, Newcastle will have enjoyed the best transfer window in recent memory, even with the well-catalogued failings. Loic who?
