Newcastle Transfers: 10 Dream Goalscoring Options Pardew Musn't Ignore

1. Loic Remy

Alternatively, Newcastle could bring back Loic Remy. Remy played for the Magpies for the entirety of last season on loan from Queens Park Rangers following their relegation into the Championship but has now returned to his parent side. He all-but signed for Liverpool earlier this summer only for the move to collapse under suspicious circumstances and now he's back on the market. Alan Pardew is keen to bring the French striker back to St James' Park on a permanent basis after being impressed by his performances last term. Remy scored 14 Premier League goals in 26 appearances while on loan in the north east and the Toon boss said: "The results speak for themselves, the fans loved him and I think it's a great place for him personally.

"There is a lot of baggage in the way at the moment because of what happened at Liverpool, and the fact he has a parent club in QPR. But I wouldn't say we're not interested in him, of course we would be."

With Rangers set for another relegation battle after fighting their way back into England's topflight, Newcastle would be able to offer Remy more stability. QPR were willing to sell him when Liverpool made an offer, and there's no reason to suggest they wouldn't do the same should Newcastle come back in for the 27-year-old.
