Benassi is a talented midfielder who is a strong tackler and can dictate the game from a central position. His contract is up in the summer of 2016 and therefore if Torino to not act quickly he could be available for around £3.5 million in January. Newcastle's central midfield of Vurnon Anita and Jack Colback isn't good enough to compete for a place in the top ten of the Premier League and the Italian would add some flair to the middle of the pitch. Benassi scored three goals in 36 appearances for the Seria A side who have started very well this season.
