Newcastle Transfers: 5 Reasons Pardew MUST Go Back In For Remy

3. He's The Perfect Compliment To The Current Squad

Newcastle have done some impressive work in the transfer window so far this summer, with six signings bringing some enthusiasm back to a fanbase who were apathetic at times last year thanks to a lack of progression on and off the field. Even without Hatem Ben Arfa - the enigmatic enigma who looks to have played his last game for the Toon - the side will line up next year with a formidable midfield, anchored by a combination from Cheick Tiote, Vurnon Anita and Jack Colback, and have the likes of Yoann Gouffran, Moussa Sissoko, Remy Cabella and Siem De Jong to play into the attack. For a good deal of last season, Remy was forced to drop deep and pick the ball up in the hope of engineering a chance for himself, and his impressive strike rate suggests that he was impressive even without as much support as his play deserved. With Cabella - a supreme chance maker if his stats in France are anything to go by - and De Jong in the number 10 role, he would be afforded the luxury of playing higher up the pitch and feeding off greater support than before, which should only lead to more goals.
