1. Michu
Swansea midfielder Michu has been a key player for the Welsh side and was a huge reason for their top half finish in the Premier League last season. The Spaniard clearly has the DNA to be a great player after proving on so many occasions how gifted he is. Michu not only keeps the ball moving and helps his team find space, he also creates goals and better yet scores them. Michu netted
18 goals in 35 league appearances in his debut season for Swansea and whilst it is unknown what sort of fee Swansea would require for the services of their attacking midfielder, he could be one of best players to swap Cabaye for, regardless of the fee. Playing the 27-year-old in a similar position to Cabaye would push Newcastle on and get them back fighting for a top six finish. Swansea finished ninth last season mostly down to Michus performances and goals and it is fair to say the club would be in a completely different position had they not signed the midfielder. Michu has tasted success at Swansea City after they lifted the Carling Cup earlier this year.
