Newcastle Transfers: 5 Replacements For Yohan Cabaye That Pardew Must Consider

5. Mark Noble

Newcastle and their Premier League rivals Everton have been linked with what would be a shock move for Mark Noble in the past month. Noble is West Ham United's longest-serving player, signed a new contract at Upton Park last year and is due a testimonial later this summer. However, none of that has dissuaded Newcastle, who are hoping to take advantage of the Hammer's perilous situation in the Premier League with only goal difference keeping them off the bottom of the table. Noble has been the only positive thing about West Ham's season this far and underfire boss Sam Allardyce knows he could be essential to save his side from relegation. But the central midfielder, who has spent his entire career with the Londoners, could be tempted by a change of scenery and an opportunity to play in Europe at St James' Park. Noble typically plays defensive midfield but is also a goal-threat, and has scored two league goals this season.
