Newcastle Transfers: 5 Signings Magpies Need For Top 6 Finish
2. Craig Bryson
As mentioned, Newcastle could do with more players that can provide goals and assists. We have already talked about attacking midfielders and strikers, but Derby Countys Craig Bryson is more of an orthodox midfielder that provides goals and assists in abundance. Bryson played in Scottish football for Kilmarnock and Clyde before joining Derby in 2011 and although he has also scored a few goals a season; he seems to have taken things up to a whole new level in this campaign. We may only be half-way through the season, but the player has already scored 11 goals and provided seven assists from his 24 league games. I would have thought that Derby would be keen to hold onto him, but he has the sort of qualities that will have Premier League clubs sniffing around; his average rating of 7.38 and a passing success ratio of 85.3% certainly would make him an excellent addition for Newcastle. The player also has international experience by winning two caps for Scotland so far.
