Newcastle Transfers: 5 Signings To Break The Top 6 Again

1. Wilfried Bony

Bony The Ivorian goal-machine was linked with a move to St James' Park in January but in the end Pardew settled for Yoan Gouffran as his Demba Ba replacement. The Frenchman hasn't exactly been prolific in front of goal since his move from Bordeux in January but there is still time yet. Meanwhile, if Pardew fancies himself a proven goal-getter, he can't go far wrong with Bony. The Vitesse forward has belted in a remarkable 42 goals in 60 appearances for the Dutch club and would certainly go some way to filling the void left by Ba - who, 3 months after leaving for Chelsea, remains the club's top goalscorer this season. The African is valued somewhere close to the £12 million mark but is certainly value for money, and if he can replicate his goal-laden form in the North East, the Magpies would have the firepower to give the top 6 sides a run for their money again. Who do you think Newcastle should sign in the summer? Can they avoid relegation and if so, will they ever crack the top six again? Let us know in the comment section, below.
