He would provide the Magpies with an extra dimension up front, but Newcastle have been told they must pay upwards of £15million for the striker when they were only prepared to offer £10million for a player who has managed only one goal in a stunted 12 appearances for Marseille this season. However, Remy has stated he would be interested in a move to St James Park.

"The window opens in January, and there will be speculation from now until the window closes - if I have to leave then all parties must be happy.
