Newcastle Transfers: Ranking Alan Pardew's 10 Best Signings
3. Loic Remy - Loan From Queens Park Rangers
Though it's difficult to tell just how much of a success Loic Remy is going to be at Newcastle, his capture this summer still falls into the "coup" category alongside Ben Arfa and Santon. The QPR man has joined the Magpies on loan for the season and was in high-demand over the last three months of the transfer market, being linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool. But, having been on Pardew's radar back in January, he finally completed his move to the North East on a 12-month deal. Remy was in electric form last term, netting six goals in 14 appearances for the Hoops and though he could not prevent their relegation in May, still put in some fine performances. Fine performances which, if replicated at Newcastle, could easily make him one of Pardew's best signings ever.
