7. Jack Colback - 5.5

The fact that his set-piece delivery was - for the most part, bar one or two shockers - excellent, Colback gets a 6. But the rest of his performance left a lot to be desired. Usually the driving force and the engine room behind Newcastle, Colback looked lacklustre at St James' and did not seem to be himself. Colback very much seemed to treat this like a training game, which it was - but when there's just eight days until your Premier League opener, you'd think there might be a bit more to come from him.
