Newcastle United: 5 Managers To Replace Alan Pardew

2. David Moyes

It's certainly hard to imagine Everton beginning a league season without David Moyes sat in the dugout, but with his contract due to expire in the summer there's every chance that that could well happen. Moyes has undoubtedly been something of a miracle worker at Goodison Park on a shoestring budget, qualifying for the Champions League or fighting it out for a European spot year after year. But it appears he may be sick of the restrictions that come with managing Everton, and a larger squad plus more financial freedom at a club like Newcastle could appeal to Moyes. Although he has often been linked as a replacement for Sir Alex at Man Utd, that position isn't likely to become available soon - and Moyes seems too sensible to get involved with Chelsea should they come calling. No doubt Newcastle fans would appreciate a manager with longevity, something Moyes certainly has to offer if he is given the chance. His knack for picking decent players and turning them into stars would create a list too long to go into (but would include, Jagielka, Fellaini, Cahill), and he would surely bring about stability, and possibly success, to St James Park.
